Smartphone Reviews, Sharp AQUOS Wise 2021

Japanese electronics manufacturer Sharp has just launched a new smartphone through the AQUOS line. Namely Sharp AQUOS Wish, comes quite unique because the specifications are arguably equivalent to affordable smartphones. Instead of appearing as a flagship with the best camera specifications and chipset.

Smartphones from Sharp itself are not many officially present in the country – one of its offerings throughout 2021 is the AQUOS Sense4 Plus series, which has specifications a little behind, although it also comes with differentiating features and DNA 'typical Japanese smartphones'. Rest? Most of those available on the market are "Japanese waste".

Alias devices that have been used before (used conditions) from the country of origin, then enter Indonesia and sold at a low price. But Sharp AQUOS Wish should not come with a premium price tag, because specifications such as camera, screen and chipset itself are quite mediocre. Even so, it comes with a stylish package and looks natural, with a distinctive design philosophy from Sharp.

Sharp Dimensions AQUOS Wish Classified as Compact

Appearing to be plain, Sharp AQUOS Wish comes in three color options namely Olive Green, Ivory and Charcoal. The rear body is designed to be textured, while the weight itself is only 162 grams with a thickness of 8.9mm. Sharp uses recycled materials, which are 35% of plastic plus box sales materials that are 40% more paper efficient.

Even so, the body of this device is designed strong because it has been successful through 18 types of hardware tests. So it has bagged MIL-STD-810H certification, plus IP65/67 certification that makes it dust resistant and waterproof. The fingerprint sensor is pinned to the right of the body, while the corners are made sharp, with the full flat front screen.

Sharp AQUOS Wish will feel very tempting for those who want a compact device. The reason is, the screen dimensions of this device are only 5.7 inches, with HD + resolution and waterdrop front camera design. The camera has a resolution of 8MP, while on the rear body, only given one sensor whose specifications are also quite simple, namely 13MP f / 2.0 without OIS.

Will Get a Guaranteed 2-Year OS Update

Sharp decided to use the Google Camera Go application, claimed to be able to produce the best photos easily. Although the sensor is only one, users can still produce portrait photos through software. While the runway kitchen itself uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 480, which already supports 5G and proved to be fast for mid-range devices.

The power efficient chip is paired with a battery capacity of 3,730 mAh, which already supports the USB Power Delivery fast charging standard. The charging process takes about 2 hours through the USB-C port. And although compact, sharp AQUOS Wish can still have a 3.5mm audio jack. Plus a microSD card slot that can accommodate up to 1TB of capacity.

Running Android 11, Sharp AQUOS Wish promises at least two OS version updates or two years of software updates. Unfortunately, there is no mention of the selling price of this device, because it will only be available in mid-January 2022. Considering the specifications, it will be very worth priced at Rp3 - Rp4 million.
