Smartphone Review, Honor 50 Full Specification 2021

Smartphone Review, Honor 50  Full Specification 2021- Hope you're all doing well. Ever since the u.s. Ban. Huawei has been pretty much under the radar and even more. So the honor brand, the former. Dr. Brandt of Huawei has been an independent manufacturer. Since November 20, 20 when Huawei decided to let the subsidiary, go to keep the business intact in light of massive silos. Number drops caused by lack of interest in Google has devices around the world. This move resulted in honor being able to yet again, launched their new Like this with pre-installed Google services and the  Honor 50 Series is supposed to be the first series of Honor. Phones back, brief GMS. The  Honor 50Series consists of three phones. I've got the middle model today, the  Honor 50. Unfortunately, my unit doesn't have Google services. The phone is only available in China so far. It should launch with Google under the hood worldwide. Sometime in the upcoming months. Let's talk about the lineup for a second. I chose to show you the vanilla model simply. Because in my opinion it is a much better value than the supposedly higher-end pro model. Let's compare these two quickly. Both have a hundred and twenty Hertz AMOLED screens. We have three hundred heads, touch response rate. The difference is the pro model having a slightly bigger 6.72 inch screen with slightly higher. PPI, as opposed to the six point five, seven inch on the  Honor 50. The pro has a dual selfie camera in the appeals shape, cut out single middle place.

If your camera on the  Honor 50 both from the Snapdragon 77833 chipset, with up to 12 gigs of RAM back. Camera setups are really also identical with a hundred and eight megapixel main says, so without or is a tiny 8 megapixel Ultra wide and two useless 2 megapixel macro and depth sensors. And last but not least, the vanilla model actually comes with a bigger 43, hundred million power battery. 4000 on the pro, the pro model. With a crazy hundred watt fast charging support, but the vanilla is no slouch with 66 Watts. Then the price difference worldwide prices are not yet unveiled but in China, the vanilla model started at four hundred and twenty two dollars while the pro model had five hundred and seventy eight dollars. I don't know about you but I see. Absolutely no reason to buy the pro model. Heck I'd go as far as to say that. I choose the vanilla model, even if they were priced exactly the same. Just for the

Likely a smaller screen and bigger battery, really weird decisions from honor here. The pro model just doesn't really bring anything to the table. Hundred watt charging. Sure, compared to 66. What is a little difference, but both are super fast. The cameras are the same. I don't know. But all in all the vanilla model seems to be priced pretty well. So naturally I figured this is the most important model to show you to start off. Even though honor is a separate brand. Now, there are Still a lot of Science of the Huawei Heritage. First of all, the design of the phone is obvious is based on the Huawei p50 series. Looks very similar. Almost identical back camera race with to Circle Islands, even the name last generation of Honor flagships was the 30 series. That was the same time that all your beliefs, their P40 serious, a spring 2020. And this time around holder actually decided to skip their 40 cities, just to be in line with what will be 5050 series.

There will be some What we leftovers a little bit on that later. As for the looks on our still went for the pretty heavily color screen. I'm fine with that. But I know that not everyone is, it could be slightly less curved to feel perfect for me, but no big deal. All the buttons are on the right side. Nice and clicky. I also appreciate almost flat top and bottom edges. I like phones that can stand on its own back panel, has a glossy finish. I got the Green version, if there is a green option, that's always where I'm going. It looks nice. Sort of like greenish gray tone, but because it's glossy, it shows, fingerprints and smudges like crazy and it's just really hard to keep it clean. I feel like we've kind of outgrown their glossy back panels now that we have nice matte and satin like options. I just don't really see a reason to go glossy. The looks itself aren't worth the hassle to clean it over and over in my opinion. The phone feels great in the handle. This is also the part that for me was always a strong side for away and it's no different with the owner.

It's Sleek. It's thin and quite light and feels comfortable to use despite being. A typical big phone in 2021. The vanilla model has a slightly lower resolution screen, therefore slightly lower PPI, but the screen is still great. Nice vibrant Amal 820 helps refresh rate with 305 stops response rates. So super smooth. Very responsive. It does get quite bright but not as bright as for example the middle of an ultra or the Samsung S 21. Altra generally, it was good enough, but there was a handful of situations when I was taking some photos on a supersonic. Any day when I wished, it was just a little bit, bright brighter. And I have to say that the whole bunch for the selfie camera is on a large site for sure, definitely bigger than some of the other middle placed. Once I've been seeing lately, dark mode is of course, available as well as the always-on display with tons of customization options. Honor, clearly wants you to go beyond whatever that means.

The under display fingerprint scanner is very good. That's how it's always been with our way. As far as I can. Remember. I still have my Pivot around and this one also works great. So, no surprises here. Nothing has really changed. It's fast. It's reliable, all good. I said that there would be more oily leftovers, while you are not the phone. And what do you see, is? Basically a Huawei phone inside. Owners. Magic-y looks 99% the same as for my emotion UI, and I don't even know.

There is a bad thing. I've always liked how he software. It's just impossible to hide that they didn't change a lot software wise when they went their separate ways. Maybe it's intentional or maybe it will take them a while to develop their own identity to be honest. All the really did is change one way to honor in the software and actually not even everywhere. Like there is literally a flowery assistant setting page. I mean, come on. All in all. This is the good old mui with all the same. Options, all the same, themes, the same shortcuts and gestures multiple screens with gestures. I like the partial screenshot, which you can take by drawing a circle over an area of your screen. Pretty neat. The one handed mode is also the same and works without issues. If you need a little more control with your one-handed usage, speed screen is also on board and can be engaged from the sidebar that we get while swiping from the side and holding for a brief second and it's nice to teach nice to see.

System obsolete, spawned nicely to a smaller window. Like this calculator here, rearranging the functions. Neatly good stuff, a disclaimer here as this is the Chinese version. I have no idea about the software experience when it comes to the phone. Once it releases worldwide. It is highly possible that honor launches the phone outside China with a revised magic UI that isn't a copy paste of Huawei software. So this can't, this part can change a lot. We'll have to wait and see. I'm only covering what the phone offer. Furs, in this version.

Not much to talk about in terms of audio. We got no headphone jack and only one sticker on the bottom of the phone. It is. Okay, but nothing amazing. If you care about the audio experience, you should definitely look elsewhere. Optics are all right, don't a lot better than the real media t5g. I recently reviewed. Cameras might look like how you p50 on the bike, but unfortunately, is not the same caliber. The most annoying thing is, obviously the to 2-megapixel story sensors, just to be able to use the quad camera marketing slogan. We really have to usable cameras, which is the main camera with a hundred and eight megapixel sensor. Unfortunately, without Optical image stabilization and also a teeny tiny 8-megapixel, ultra light camera with a 17 millimeter equivalent focal length. So decently White

The light photo quality from the main camera is solid with good sharpness and Lively colors. Again, very similarly, to the usual quality style. Dynamic range is okay, but not amazing. Ultralights. Unfortunately isn't as good low resolution and a huge field of view. Don't go hand in hand. So photos are noticeably less sharp, and dynamic range suffers as well. We've an evident loss of detail in the shadows. No optical. Zoom means we are stuck with digital Zoom from the main camera. Well, luckily the hundred and eight megapixel sensor becomes useful five times, Zoom is sharp and even 10x decently. So as well as 1.9 aperture as well as a averagely sized main sensor, mean that there isn't a lot of background blur on the photos. So honor allows us to use the Aperture mode where it uses the software to imitate lower apertures. This works pretty well and the blur looks quite believable.

Honor 50 Full Review

Video wise, we get 4k up to 30 frames per second from the main camera. The ultralight is unfortunately limited to 1080p with 60 frames per second. And there is no stabilization option was however, so make sure you keep the camera steady for best results. Battery life is mediocre. It does dwindle quite fast during the day, especially if you use the hundred and twenty Health, refresh rate at all times, very likely that you're going to be running low on battery. At the end of the day. I have managed around 5 hours of screen on time on average. So nothing amazing. Luckily. There are 66 with fast. Charging is super Speedy 0-200 in around 55, 56 minutes. So super quick. This is also another thing that I don't think it's that much better on the pro model.

I mean, obviously hundred charging will be even faster, but does it really matter that much. If both are very fast? I don't need my phone to charge from zero to a hundred in a couple of minutes around. Half an hour, is still already pretty insane and good enough on a daily basis. Again, no wireless charging on any of the  Honor 50 Series models. So other is back in the game. It seems and it will definitely try to persuade people who left. This amazing definitely not, but the vanilla model seems to be priced quite. All right, we see what the international pricing is going to look like and how much the software changes once they go worldwide to put that into perspective in China. The  Honor 50Series sold units worth over 70 million dollars in the first minute of the cell. This shows that it's still super popular in China, whether they're going to pursue it International users. Has to buy their phones remains to be seen. I am hopeful but not sure so far but getting Google back on their phones is definitely a step in the right direction. It would be great if the way somehow manages to have their ban lifted as well. Seeing them release another great series of phones with the p50 series which are unfortunately crippled for the majority of us just feels bad. Anyway, let's go now,
